Chatterleigh Responses to Hampton Capacity Relief Boundary Study Survey

Dear Neighbors:

We hope you recall our communication last week. In a feeble attempt to address overcrowding at Hampton Elementary School, Baltimore County Public Schools has unveiled a short-sighted and poorly thought-out set of proposed new boundaries for Hampton Elementary.
We are asking ALL Chatterleigh neighbors to use the attached guide to cut and paste consistent answers to the survey questions put forth by BCPS. We also encourage you to take the survey on BOTH a computer and your mobile device. Please also take this survey even if you do not currently have children in BCPS schools.  Strong schools contribute to a strong community and we need Chatterleigh to help make our collective voices heard!
You will notice that we reject both Options 1 and 3 because they divide Chatterleigh between two schools. We remain neutral with Options 2 and 4 because, while they keep all of Chatterleigh at Hampton, it doesn’t sufficiently address the persistent issue of overcrowding in all of the BCPS Central Area. Therefore, Hampton and the other two schools included in this study are asking BCPS to commence a more formal boundary study that includes more schools so the capacity burden is more equitably shared.
Thank you so much for helping us in this important effort!
